My name is Lorrenzo Anderson. I am 40 years old. I have been in and out of lock up since I was 15 years old. I have been out of prison six years now. I gave my life to Jesus Christ in 2009 in a visiting booth in the Clark County Jail in Springfield, Ohio. I got sentenced to 7 years in 2009. I ended up doing 2 and a half of that 7, and that is when my transformation from dope boy to church boy took place. I have five children living with me, ages 2, 4, 8, 13, and 14. I have been married for five years. I am a youth pastor, ordained minister, and gospel rapper. Because of Christ, I can be who God intended me to be.
My favorite book is the Bible. My favorite scripture that helps me make it through a day, a month and every year is Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This scripture is significant to me because when I feel like the life I am living is too much to handle and I feel like giving up, this scripture reminds me where to turn for the strength to carry on. This scripture encourages me to keep pushing forward to a higher calling. I think this scripture means that I can do anything when I rely on Christ. Because with Christ strength nothing is impossible.
